The year 2017 is upon us and I am still in awe that another year has flown by right before our eyes!
I’ve been on winter break for 2 weeks and I couldn’t be happier! I definitely needed this, haha! I’ve been spending my break laying low, relaxing, and sleeping in!
As for my blog, unfortunately I haven’t been as consistent on here as I would like to be. I blame it on writer’s block, honestly. But I’m here today starting the year off with a blog post because NYE was one for the books.
I single handedly have the greatest people in my life. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized the importance of having good company. It makes the world of a difference, I tell yah.
NYE plans were to cook dinner and entertain a few close friends/family. The night consisted of a lot of crazy and silly moments, tons of pictures, Tim’s mission, a long drive, and 5am’s! It was by far one of the best nights I’ve had in 2016. Definitely a great start to the new year! So to the ladies who made my night so special, I love and cherish you crazies!
Considering NYE was a crazy day, New Years Day itself was more of a laid back day laying around the house and reminiscing about the day before!
I’ve got a lot of different goals for 2017 and cannot wait to accomplish them. You’re your own motivation and anything you put your mind to, you can do! So let’s get it, my friends! Dream big and make those dreams come true!
I didn’t want to be one of those cliche people and preach to ya’ll, but just trying to share some motivation and vibe that I’m currently feeling!
P.S. Remember the Jar of Memories that I started last year? Well, it was a HUGE success! I can’t wait to read the valuable and precious memories that are in there. But I’m even more excited to create and write new adventures and memories of 2017.
Starting off 2017 with a bang! With some good people, great memories, and a carefree spirit!
Keeping this post short and simple so Happy New Year to you all, and to all a good night!
It’s been just about 2 months since my last post and a lot has happened in my life since. Amidst all of those things, I have missed blogging and have been aching to get back into it. SO here I am today with another post for you all!
Happy MONDAY ya’ll! The day we often dread after a weekend. I know I’m one of those people. It doesn’t help that I’m also not a morning person either. Mondays are a blessing in itself. It’s important to start off fresh and with the right mindset. To start this week off right, I wanted to do some sort of Monday Motivation. Every start of the week I see a bunch of posts and pictures that are supposed to inspire you and be uplifting to kick start the week. I wanted to be one of those people and share with you 6 characteristics that I think are important to apply to your day to day life. Let’s begin!
Give it your all:
In all aspects of your life, the one thing you have control over is how you deal with life on a daily basis. How you coordinate your work ethic, the way you treat others, the amount of effort you put into the things you love, wether that be a relationship, or a project. Whatever you come across in life, the only thing you can do is try your absolute best. The rest, life will take care of itself. You will see your hard work pay off. You will see the fruit of your labour. Speaking from personal life experiences, I can honestly tell you that life works out for itself once you do your part and give it your all. YOU are capable of great things. Be the best version of YOU possible. Just live in the moment and be present in the NOW. Your future self will thank you later. Remember: The power of your thoughts is an incredible thing. It can lead you to success or failure. Making intention is the key to success.
Believe in the power of your Dreams:
Follow your dreams. As cliche as this sounds, It’s the whole hearted truth. You’ve got a vision? Go after it. You’ve only got one life to plan for the next. Use it wisely. Do things you love. Be adventurous. Dare to be different. Prove people wrong. Do something you’ve always wanted to do even if others have a different perspective on it. A quick story time for you all that backs up this important point. I have a cousin whose passion is being a barber. He tried the school route for something that he didn’t enjoy. He dropped it and went to school for something that he 100% enjoyed and is very talented at. He is a full time barber now who started at home to working for someone else to starting his own business. He is a very well known barber here in town. As a cousin, I couldn’t be more proud of him for following his dreams when so many of our family members doubted his future and career. He proved them wrong. Congratulations brother. May Allah grant you all the success in both the worlds. Aameen! Remember: Anything is possible if you just have Faith. Always keep in mind that we plan, but He is the best of planners. Trust in his plans for you!
Patience is a virtue they say. It’s a skill that many find difficult to deal with on a daily basis. It’s human nature to struggle with patience because we are created with the mindset that if we don’t see results right away, we quit. When the going gets tough, keep going. All good things are worth waiting for. I promise you. Once you have put in the work, take a step back, just wait and watch it all unfold. Don’t get discouraged when things don’t appear right away. Eventually it will and the end result will be far greater than what you could ever imagine.
What you put out into this world is what you get. Putting positive energy out only attracts positivity right back at you. Being positive in a fairly negative world is sometimes difficult. We let our current situations define our attitude towards life when life is only meant to be cherished and lived. Life is far too short for anything else. SO spend it positively. Do random acts of kindness, tell someone you appreciate them, always try to see the good in others and in the difficult situations in your life. Remember, you attract what you think you deserve. Keep it positive.
Practice Humility. To me, this is one of the most important characteristics to have. Something that I can’t begin to explain the importance of. When you’ve got everything you could possibly want, or your life is going tremendously, you’ve got the job of your dreams – all of it means nothing if you’re not humble about it. Be kind, be humble, work hard, and let your success do all the talking! But never forget to say Alhumdulillah and thank the One who made it all possible.
Last but not least, just be yourself. We’re all trying our best to survive this thing called life. Might as well be 100% yourself. People are attracted to those who are not afraid to be themselves. People who have the confidence in everything they do are an inspiration to us all. Be more loving towards yourself. Give yourself a break and consistently aim to better yourself, for you. Because at the end of the day, the only one you’ve got is your self. Just do you, boo. I believe in you.
Its been quite some time since my last post! To be completely honest with you, I haven’t had any creative ideas or inspiration to write about. After watching one of my favourite tags on youtube – 25 to 50 random facts about me – I decided to do it myself too! It’s a great get to know you game as well!
So, here are 25 random facts about me:
My name means “Victorious. The one who thrives and succeeds against all the odds. The one who has sweet and gentle mannerisms.” Those who know me, know that this is pretty accurate once you know my personality!
I’m super short and make a pretty darn good arm rest! #funsize #shortgirlproblems
I’m a heels type of girl but I love me some flat footwear once in awhile to embrace my shortness!
If I could wear one type of clothing for the rest of my life, it would be DRESSES! I love dresses and feeling like a princess! 🙂
Those who know me, know that I absolutely ADORE and LOVE cats! Call me a crazy cat lady all you want, but I WILL own a cat one day. InshaAllah!
Out of my entire family, my sister and I are the only ones with coloured eyes, mine being green and hers being Hazel. I believe we inherited that from my dads side of the family with my grandpa having grey eyes! Alhumdulillah.
I’m Canadian! So where are all my Canadian peeps at?! Haha! With that being said, I’m not a typical Canadian who goes to Tim Horton’s often (Tim’s for short). Doesn’t make me less of a Canadian though! Oh, nor do I live in igloos and use dog sleds as my mode of transportation!
I actually enjoy going to Starbucks. My favourite thing to order at Starbies is some sort of Green Tea Lemonade. Currently loving the Peach Green Tea Lemonade!
On the topic of Peaches, my favourite candy is Fuzzy Peaches! Fuzzy Peaches are a gummy candy that have the same texture as Sour Patch kids! These ones just happen to taste like Peaches! So yummy! This is what they look like:
I ONLY drink water. No juice, no milk, no pop, and no coffee for me! H2O for the win!
I don’t know how to swim. Yeah, kinda crazy eh? I need to get on that, ASAP!
I’m obsessed with the game Cooking Dash on my phone! It’s seriously addicting!
I have a slight obsession with candles. I have recently stopped purchasing them and avoiding Bath and Bodyworks. But oh man, the moment I pass that store, I’m tempted to go in and buy all the new candles!
I’m most productive at night! Night owl as I like to call it. When I was in school, I would always complete all my school work late at night. I was much more focused during that time rather than during the day. It also explains why I always write and post my blog posts late at night!
The very first Narnia book in the series was my favourite childhood book (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe)! I secretly wished I had a magic wardrobe where I could push aside my clothes and enter Narnia. Aslan was super cool!
I love watching Disney princess movies and Disney movies in general! Aside from that, comedy movies mixed with action are my favourite!
I want to go skydiving one day! One of my girls and I have vowed to jump off a plane together!
I love to make DIY crafts as a hobby whenever I have time! Some of the things I have made are candle holders, a memory jar, earring displayer, various jewelry pieces, an inspiration board, and more.
As scared as I am, I can’t wait to be a wife and a mother one day! How cute is it to have mini you’s running around the house?
Speaking of being a mother, I want to have three little kiddos 🙂
One of my kidneys is smaller than the other one. I had no clue until I was sick in middle school and the hospital was my home for a month.
My favourite junk food is not candy or chocolate, but rather chips! Why are potatoes so good?! Also, Ketchup chips are the bomb dot com! You Americans are seriously missing out!
My passion and forté is working with children, especially ones with special needs! Kids make me laugh and melt my heart with the crazy things they say!
I was a 7lb baby, the biggest baby my mother had. Sorry mom for being so BIG!
Crazy fact but my grandma (my mother’s mom) has three kids. My mother herself has three kids (my siblings and I) with the order being girl-boy-girl, in both families! How crazy is that!? I hope the pattern continues for me!
Alright folks, that’s it for now! I thought 25 facts was a good place to start!
I hope all of you are having a great summer and enjoying the rest of it before school starts, if it hasn’t already! I would love recommendations on topics for inspiration as I seem to have run out of ideas! Please let me know 🙂
One of my very first blog posts was dedicated to my sister. It’s called Birthday Girl and I had a great time reminiscing about the beautiful soul that she is.
At the time she briefly said, “I should write one about you.”
To that I said “you’re probably going to write very mean things about me…”
Nonetheless, I thought it would be a great idea for her to write one about me in her POV.

“Before I start, I just want to wish my sister the Happiest Birthday because she turned 22 yesterday! This blog post is long overdue, so I thought the perfect time to share it would have to be today.
Let me start off and tell you that I know that I’m a bad sister for not getting you a gift. Trust me it’s not because you’re hard to buy for, it’s because all the unique and creative gifts I wanted to surprise you with were so spontaneous that I’m too young to pull off. And I know that I could have given you a simple gift, like jewellery or makeup, but after all the things that you have given to me, a simple gift like that would not make the cut. You deserve so much more, and I wish I could make you happy with one big spontaneous gift that would truly make up for all the times you spoiled me. I love looking at you and seeing the smile you give me that reflects how proud and happy you are for me, and I could not stop thinking about what you would look like if I had given you one of my choices for a unique gift. And I was definitely upset because I could not make something like that happen.
I went shopping looking for the perfect gift for you, I asked our brother for ideas, and most importantly, I asked our dad to help me pull off an amazing gift, but of course he was too cheap for that. -_-
I wanted to buy you a baby kitten, I wanted to buy you a pair of quality shoes, I wanted to rent out a Jeep for you, I wanted to buy you a ticket to London, so we could visit our brother there who will be leaving us soon. You can definitely see what I mean by the fact that I can’t pull this off.
Moving on, when I started writing this blog post, which was months ago, I didn’t know what to write, because there are so many aspects about my sister that I could write about. But now that I’m posting this on her birthday I figured the best thing I could write about would be about some of the many reasons why I love her.
In the blog post my sister wrote about me, she had mentioned that sisters are annoying and a pain in the butt, and I couldn’t help but agree with her. In my case, my sister loves to annoy me for her own pleasure by teasing me whether it’s in public or at home. But nonetheless I’ve grown to love her. I have a short temper, so when she teases me I get really ticked off easily, and it can end in a fight. But what I love about our relationship is that we can bounce back seconds later and totally forget what we were fighting about.
I know for a fact that some people still think that we fight a ton and that we never get along but over the course of the last few years we have grown undeniably close. We spend everyday together, whether it’s just going out shopping, or watching movies at home. There is never a day we go without spending time together.
One thing that I love about us is that we look a lot alike. My sister mentioned this in the blog post about me, that sometimes people think we’re twins. Even though she is 6 years older than me, we still get mistaken as twins and in all honesty, I love this about us. Never in a million years would I have ever thought that I’d like to match outfits with my sister, but I actually love it now! As children we used to hate it, but as we got older we grew to love it.
My sister is the best source of entertainment for me, because she always brings out her childish side. Even though it annoys me, I still love it because she can always lighten the mood and manage to bring a smile onto my face. She has made me independent, both as a student and as an individual. She has brought out the girly side in me, making me love makeup, clothes and room decor. Without her, I couldn’t have become who I am today, and I’m so grateful to have someone like her in my life.
So again, Happy Birthday to my gorgeous sister. Even though it doesn’t seem like it, you’re my number one role model and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. Anything I do, will always require YOUR approval and YOUR opinion, because if there’s anyone I trust the most, it would most certainly be YOU. I love YOU and all your flaws and imperfections. You are so so soooo perfect in my eyes, and I always wonder, what have I done to be blessed with such an amazing individual like you?
I say Alhumdulillah, because your presence is one of the greatest blessings in my life.
May Allah bless your life with pure happiness, and may He make you happy, even during those times where I cannot. Aameen.
I pray to Allah that she finds someone who can annoy her just as much as me, make her happy just as much as me, but most importantly I pray that she finds someone who can love her a million times more that I could ever possibly can.
Love you forever and always,
your little sis.” ❤

Wow. Aameen. Subhanallah. How blessed and thankful I am for a sister like her. The first time she read this to me I teared up, and now reading it again, brings me back to that same place.
I love you. I love you for dealing with me. I love you for the countless things you do for me. I love you for being my mini me. I love you for doing crazy things with me. I love you for you.
The beautiful and blessed month of Ramadan has come to an end and Eid-ul-Fitr has fallen upon us. The celebration that commences after an entire month of fasting from sunrise to sunset. The only celebration/holiday that Muslims widely across the globe celebrate. So you can say that I am beyond excited! Beyond excited to spend time with family and continue the tradition of money giving (yeah, we get Dolla bills on Eid!) and the getting together for a huge feast with all of my family. I mean, it doesn’t get any better than that! This has to be my favourite time of the year. For many reasons.
The night before Eid holds many sacred blessings as it’s a night where Allah sends down all his blessings and showers His mercy on His disciples. He stresses about this night as it holds great rewards for those seeking it. Although Ramadan and it’s importance are over, Eid is just as important – if not more – to seek out those rewards. To seek out His mercy and ask for forgiveness as all prayers are accepted.
The morning of this beautiful day is where it all begins. The birds are chirping bright and early and the crisp morning air fills your lungs as you take a deep breath…and say Alhumdulillah. If anyone has woken up during this time – when the rest of the world is sleeping and the sun has not quite risen yet – you know just how serene it feels. Your mind and thoughts are just as calm as the air. You are one with your surroundings and you realize the simplicity of life.
As the sun finally rises and Fajr prayer comes to an end, many of us decide to sleep until a decent time later. 9am rolls around and it’s time to look presentable to the uncles that come visit first thing in the morning. We share hugs and sweet delicacies. But as soon as they’re gone, we usually feast on mother’s biryani. Mmmmm so good! Eid usually entails a lot of food and the precious time you spend with your loved ones.
The last few Eid’s have been a blessing due to one of my cousins who is exceptional at absolutely everything; makeup being one of them. She has enhanced our natural beauty with makeup during every special occasion and has made us look beautiful every time, MashaAllah. She has gotten better and better each time and I look forward to getting all dolled up like this a few times a year! I mean, what girl doesn’t right?! Highlight is truly on fleek as they say! Thanks girl for making us look so good!
Now that we are we are all ready and looking mighty fine, it is time to visit each and every relative in town! All the aunties usually eyeball us and ask where our outfits are from. Such a pro now ignoring the glares and staring eyes! Aside from that, I fill my tummy with sweet goodies, mostly cookies that taste oh so delicious! Once the going around town, visiting family is over, let the actual celebration begin!
Every year we have a tradition of having a massive feast at one of our family households. Sometimes it’s a potluck type of style, and other times, the only thing required is yourself at the Eid dawaat (party). Either way, this is one of my favourite parts of the day. The entire house is filled with little ones running around, the older parents talking and sharing stories, and the older kids taking selfies! There is so much love and unity in one household that it makes my heart completely full. Family members that I don’t see on a daily basis are all present and having a grand ol’ time until 2 in the morning. I wouldn’t change a thing about this day. I am truly appreciative of this time and the blessing of having a big loving family in my life.
For me, Eid is so much more than just a day. It’s so much more than the name. It’s so much more than being able to eat again. It’s so much more than receiving money or getting all dressed up. It’s the spiritual feeling that comes with it. It’s the feeling of peace, contentment and joy that you get after an entire month of sacrificing the basic necessity of food, putting yourself in the place of those who are less fortunate than you, and worshipping and devoting your time to the One that created you. To me, there is no better feeling than this. To know that you are loved and showered with the utmost mercy that He has to offer. I only hope that my efforts as well as yours are accepted. Aameen.
“May your Eid makeup be on fleek, your Eid selfies bang, and your Eid outfit be on point!” Aameen.
We are half way into the month of Ramadan and I have been doing a lot of reflecting. Ramadan is perfect for pondering over the countless blessings in our life. Especially since it’s quite easy to forget those little blessings that we have or take for granted everyday. This being one of them.
One of the greatest blessings in life that I have been bestowed with is the feeling of FAMILY. Let’s be honest here, they drive you absolutely crazy some days. But more often than not, I have realized how truly blessed I am. I wouldn’t be half the person I am today without them. They allow me to be the crazy, loud, annoying person that I can be. Or the quiet, loving, compassionate person. Either way, they accept you for who you are and when no one else is around, they always will be.
Growing up, I was taught that Family is the most important thing you can ever have. I mean, without them who are we? What do we truly have? What do we need that could equal to the love they give us? The importance and value of kinship that was taught to me at a young age is more because of the Faith I believe in but I couldn’t be more accepting of this belief. For that, I will continue on the tradition. Thanks Mom and Dad!
I also must say, I am super spoiled. Spoiled with being so closely knit with my family and doing everything together. Having that harmony amongst us. There’s not a lot of people out there who could say the same. For that, I couldn’t be more thankful. Alhumdulillah.
To me, my family consists of not only my parents, siblings, and grandparents. It includes my cousins and uncles/aunts as well from both sides of the family (I am much more closer to my dads side of the family than my mothers).
For as long as I could remember, I have done everything with my family. Partially the reason being is because we all live in the same town. So it makes it 10x easier to coordinate events together. Ever since I was younger, I have been going to Wonderland (an amusement park here in Toronto). My love of thrill literally runs through my veins from a wee little baby to now an adult. But that tradition – until this day – is the reason why we continue to plan and attend family events together.
I have very many fond memories of the whole family and I during the summer with the numerous BBQ’s, little day trips to Toronto, and our dinner’s out together! I can honestly say that my memories are nothing but of pure happiness. Because that feeling is far greater than any materialistic thing you could ever have in this world. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that it’s not a great blessing to have.
Quite often, you will meet many people in this world that don’t have the same mindset as you on this topic – and that’s okay. That’s what makes us so unique. There are many individuals in my life who have not had the greatest experience with their family, therefore, their view and perspective on family is much different than mine. There’s no harmony and no love. But that’s what life entails sometimes because it’s not perfect. It’s understandable. But that doesn’t mean all hope is lost for you. Or that you can’t achieve to have such a thing.
Remember, family is not always the people related to you by blood. It’s also the people that you CHOOSE to have in your life and the ones that are of significant importance to you. Make sure you cherish them.
In a world full of change, one thing is always constant; your family. So I continue to pray to God that He keeps the harmony amongst my family and to all of yours. May he keep that secure bond and bless you all. Aameen.
Ahhhh road trips. Can’t help but love them! Especially when they’re with some really cool people!
My previous post was about me reminiscing on some memories. Well, this is another one of those memories! Be sure to go read that one first before you start this one! (My 21st Birthday!)
Alright, let’s get to it! I have a feeling this will be quite a long post. So grab a snack, a drink and get comfy! P.S. I’ll be sure to add lots of pictures so you don’t get tired of reading. Besides, we all love visuals when we’re reading anyways!
Let me take you back to 2014! Woahhh that was 2 years ago and it feels like an eternity has gone by. I swear each passing year seems to go by quicker and quicker! Where has the time gone? Slooooow down life! Let me catch my breath, phew!
The year 2014 was both a difficult yet extremely exciting year. There were a lot of personal and health issues that were present throughout the year but the summer of 2014 was a year to remember. I feel like it was a reward for it all as I got to plan and undertake a road trip. I mean, people take vacations and road trips all the time and some more frequently than others. My family was one of those that didn’t get the opportunity to do so often. So this was extremely exciting for me!
My family and I were going on a road trip with my cousins. After lots of begging and pleading, our parents had finally said yes! Every night during the month of July my cousin and I planned for this upcoming road trip that was going to be through the course of 9 days. We spent nights looking for hotels and creating our itinerary for our trip. As the nights went by, we were becoming more and more excited!
Remembering those nights planning with my cousins brings back bitter sweet memories as it was just as fun planning it as it was road tripping.
Our creeper van was booked (the only vehicle that fit 11 of us), as was our hotels, and itinerary full and ready to go! Can I just say, that I was not expecting to take so many things with us on our road trip?! The amount of things that we lugged with us was a tad bit crazy; now times that by two families and you got a boat load of things. We were packed to the brim in our van but still excited to get the show on the road!
Let me give you a little bit of a breakdown of the itinerary. Ohio, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh, New York and New Jersey were the destinations. Why these destinations, you say? They just happen to be super close to each other, so why not! I’ll explain each place as we continue reading. But first, we must cross the border to the US of A! With a smooth entrance across the border we said goodbye to Canada. I took a picture of the U.S Flag as we drove by!
The first destination on our road trip was to head to Sandusky, Ohio. It took us almost an entire day of driving to arrive. That evening we made our way to Target, which by the way, was so much cheaper than the Target here in Canada. Thank god we no longer have it! The main focus in Ohio was to hit up the Cedar Point Amusement park. Now, let me begin by telling you that everyone in my family, including I, LOVE amusement parks. We spent every summer at Wonderland when we were growing up so the thrill runs in our blood. This amusement park was like any other park; filled with lots of roller coasters, a water park and tons of games. On this day it was pouring rain which made us second guess whether we should go or not. Seeing as we were only in Ohio for a day, we decided we would hit up the amusement park anyway.
We spent the entire day at Cedar Point with the kids going our separate ways from the parents. We were very lucky that there were so few moments of intense downpour! Aside from that, we had a grand old time sitting on each rollercoaster. One of them being the fastest rollercoaster in America (maybe); Top Thrill Dragster! Not going to lie, but I was nervous to go on it, but there was no way I was going to miss out on this opportunity! It felt great to conquer the mighty beast! What’s so cool about Top Thrill Dragster is that the ride operates 120 mph and has pretty much a straight drop that makes you think you’re plummeting to your death; all complete within 7 seconds ish. Definitely worth the long wait and we met some cool dudes too! I regret not making more friends while there!
That night we were super tired from an all day trip at the amusement park. Nonetheless, we headed for a Walmart. Can I just say, why aren’t Canadian Walmart’s 24/7 with self checkout?! Hello CANADA! Step up your A game! Please and thank you. This was one of our many Walmart trips during our road trip adventure.
The next morning comes around and we’re all packed up in our van and driving to Pennsylvania. During our entire trip, there was a lot of bickering but just as many laughs to compensate for it!
Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh were each a one day trip as we drove through. They consisted of lots of shopping rather than touristing.
We are now 4 days into the road trip and with 5 more days left, we head to New York for two days.
Now here’s the fun part of the entire trip – NEW YORK! Seeing as I’ve always wanted to be in the Big Apple, I was quite ecstatic. During the two days we were there, we took the underground train from the New Jersey Airport right into NYC. We arrived right outside of MSG (Madison Square Garden) and the moment we set foot outside from the tunnel, we were bombarded by New Yorkers trying to sell their tours. It felt like I was in Bombay, India all over again! After quite some time trying to figure out which tour to take, we chose a bus tour that would take us to all the surrounding areas. It was a good way to see most of it as walking would have taken the entire day. Through the bus tour, we were able to get an overall look as to where most of the places were that we wanted to visit. There is A LOT to see in NYC but with the time limit, we chose just a few.
Day 1 of NYC consisted of the following:
Bus tour – This wasn’t the greatest bus tour to choose as it took forever and a day for our turn, rude employees, and just not the best way to experience the city. Nonetheless, we were able to see a lot of the place during a short period of time.
Rockefeller Centre – One of my favourite places to see in NYC! You’ll see why.
Day 2 of NYC:
Central Park Zoo – It was a decent zoo! We saw lots of animals as well as a show! This particular day was boiling hot so besides getting a tan, we were super tired. Central Park is beautiful but we unfortunately were too tired that day to stroll through it.
Boat Tour – With the day being as hot as it was, I was ready to nap the moment the boat left the dock. It was just so peaceful…but there was so much to see! This was my second favourite thing to do as a tourist. We took the 7pm sunset boat tour right until the sun went down.
*que Jay-Z song; Empire State of Mind*
New York is so LIVE during the night so after our lovely boat tour we walked through the hustle bustle of people in Time’s Square to the M&M store. Although we didn’t purchase anything in there, it was quite an experience!
That concludes our NYC trip! I don’t think I’ve ever walked so much in my life as I did while we were in the city. Nonetheless, it was by far the best place we went to on our trip.
2 more days left of our road trip and we end it by spending it in New Jersey. We had a very relaxing 2 days of shopping.
Now it’s time to head home. Quite frankly, I’m home sick and missing my bed. As we pack our bags and our van, I think to myself how thankful I am to be so close to my family and what a wonderful trip it has been.
I miss Canada. I miss home. A 9 hour drive until I get to see my love; my bed.
This was a trip down memory lane but God knows how long until my next post.
